Wait on God

Blindness is not just the inability to see, it’s the inability to see clearly and with sound judgment as one should.

Sometimes when looking too hard for anything, one never sees it staring them right in the face–right where it should be or where it was left.

In April of 2011 at the age of 30, I married the man of my dreams.  After all the years of waiting and wishing, hoping and praying, God sent my prince.  And what’s ironic about our love story is that during all the years of waiting and wishing, hoping and praying, he (my husband) had been there all along.  I was just too blind to see it.

For years we had shared a church; we had heard the same sermons and shared the same beliefs, but we were totally oblivious to the possibility of being with each other.  All the time I wondered, where is my future husband and when will we meet?  Yeah, sure I dated “unsuccessfully” for quite some time, not even realizing the blessing that was right under my nose, or more appropriately, a few pews over, waiting to be revealed by God and acknowledged by me.

Sometimes when looking too hard for anything, one never sees it staring them right in the face–right where it should be or where it was left.

What do other people say about the book?

“I can’t praise this book highly enough! It’s well-written, enjoyable to read and full of wisdom. It’s relevant for any age and I plan to get some for my younger relatives.” – Lisa Thomson, Graphic Designer

“What a blessing to read! As a 31-year-old single woman I can truly connect with the pages of this book. Many times we fall into the uncomfortable mode of waiting for a mate. I found myself a few months ago getting a bit anxious about when and where this love of my life thing was going to happen for me. I sought peace, and peace is what I found. Just as you said…we must trust the God that we serve and not just by what we say but by what we do. I have learned to wait on God through my service to him and in that, I just know he will present the mate that will bring him the most glory in my life. I just know God has a plan!” Tina

“A great read WAIT ON GOD! This valuable principle, although sometimes may seem challenging, is a benefit! Learning how to wait will and hear the voice of God can help us avoid many mistakes! Thanks for sharing! So glad you introduced me to the blog! You’re a good Godly young woman in action! Very personable. Just being in your presence alone inspires others to want to develop a closer relationship with God! You’re very purposed driven! Continue to speak on matters of the heart! Best!!!” Darrell

“Great assessment on what it takes to not only have a great relationship, but the importance of sharing your gifts. God knows our heart and he promises to give us the desires of our heart. So we must continue to praise him in advance. Great article Mrs. Whitaker!” Shanna
